50 years of ChCR – Program 21. – 22. August 2026
Marking 50 years of childhood cancer registration in Switzerland, this special event brings together a distinguished panel of national and international speakers to discuss the future of pediatric oncology registration and epidemiological research. This includes environmental causes of childhood cancer (including pesticides and PFAS), aspects relevant to long-term follow-up and late effects, use of big data from routine hospital care, the role of tumor biobanks and genetic data, and the importance of keeping a focus on children in planned revisions to Switzerland’s cancer registration legislation.
